Is there a link that lists the past California JC State Champions?

Here is a pretty good list. They didn't always have a state title game for many decades. They do not have a game listed for 1996, but Saddleback defeated Sacramento City in what was called the Shrine Bowl, which somewhat spurred bringing back the state title game. The Gauchos were awarded the national title that season and were rated No. 1 in the country headed into the game. Rather than playing in a bowl game in Southern California, Saddleback had hopes of winning a national title and decided to take on Sacramento City in their bowl game in their own back yard, rather than playing a lower ranked team. Sac City was ranked No. 2 or 3 at the time, and was a higher-profile game. On the microphone that day doing play-by-play for the radio.........none other than yours truly.
