COS FAB 5

College of the Siskiyous has been a silent program for years, Until now, under the current and improved leadership of former player and now Head Coach of COS, Charlie Roche. College of the Siskiyous has stretched its recruiting to the East Coast, no not Flordia, but Maryland. 5 Former Maryland Standouts who fell short to recruiting after high school due to grade have come together and traveled to California and will be in key roles for the College of the Siskiyous in the upcoming 2013 season. (Demetruis Brown, 5'5 155lbs WR, Aaron Williams, 6'1 220lbs RB, Philly Contrell, 6'2 245lbs DE, John Holland, 6'0 185lbs S, Tyrese Lyons, 6'2 250lbs OLB). Siskiyous is THE DARK HORSE in California. All 5 guys graduated in 2008 or 2009, so none are lacking the experience, should be a highly recruited class especially after going 10-1 and winning a Bowl game for the 1st time in history.

QB watch list missing one very important name......

Pierce College - Nick Arbuckle - was a TE his senior year at St. Bonaventure HS. Threw for just under 4,000 yards and 40 TD's this past season as a Brahma. His stats are almost unparalleled in the state, not to mention he split time the first two games of the season and missed another game with a severely sprained ankle. Was a qualifier out of HS, but hasn't landed a spot even though Cal is knocking on the door. Might possibly be back with the Brahmas in 2013.

RCC's QB, Zach Adkins, 6'1, dual threat

Reported by JCGRIDIRON.COM

"Out at Riverside City College, a potential battle for the starting spot in the potent Tiger offense sees returning back-up Zach Adkins in a battle with another quarterback that will fit into the pro-style mode. Adkins is 6-foot-1, 205 pounds and played in bits and pieces of five games last season for an undefeated Riverside team. Adkins threw for 223 yards and three scores on 11 passes and ran for 70 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Quarterback guru and head coach Tom Craft will decide later in the summer whether or not Adkins has a leg up on Utah bounce back Tyler Shreve[/B], who will be featured in the pro-style lineup".

It appears that Adkins has earned the starting spot at RCC after great performances in the 1st 4 games.

Here are Zach's highlights thus far:
