ELLSWORTH QB Ricky Rowe gets nod

I'm hearing Miami Killian's own RICKY ROWE 6'3" 200 now QB at Ellsworth will get the start this fall.Ricky led Miami Killian to the '09 District Championship and to the 3rd RD of State Playoffs--losing to Miami Northwestern.He's a very bright kid with an extremely strong and accurate arm.I saw every one of his games in '09.Even though he played with the phenomn LamarMiller(U ofMia) in his backfield, he was given many opportunities for his arm and legs to shine.LONG strides,strong build...he led Miami Killian to 12-2 record in '09--incl..playoffs.Going into his 2nd term at Ellsworth,I spoke with Ricky and his dream is to play at VA TECH--however he knows WHOMEVER comes aknockin' he'll be rockin and ready!

It sounds like Ellsworth could have a strong team this year. We'll keep an eye on Rowe. Is he an option QB or drop back QB? Appreciated the update. Thx.

Ricky is a pure pocket passer..HOWEVER Killian ran TheWildcat about 50% of the time--- he has no problem pulling it down and taking off...He didn't have the fastest wideouts to throw to...(Jelani Berrasi at Youngstown and Keith Dupree at West Va.State Univ).He played flag on one of my championship teams---yeah he has the goods to make Ellsworth 'worthy' and a team to watch.I don't know about his surrounding cast...I DO assume he's got better WR's than he had in high school---then again....u know whatthey say about ass-uming
