Brad? Anybody? Again, WHY[/B] is Butte ranked #2 and BC #4 in the final "Dirty Thirty Poll?"

Butte Dad here. I'd take a playoff system and championship over being selected, calculated or ranked ANY DAY. Rankings generate dialogue and they're fun to debate; where are the "10 Best Places to Vacation" and who are the "Top JC Offensive Lineman". These lists aren't absolute or definitive, right? The best team goes to a playoff where they compete with all the best teams in a region. The best team wins every game in the playoff, then they win the championship game against the best team from another region. In my opinion, that's absolute and definitive.

BC being ranked below Butte does not make sense to us in the south, but even a bigger question I have is why didn't Butte represent the north? They beat CCSF head to head, was that game at Butte or San Francisco? But, like dad said, rankings are for dialogue and D-1 is going to soon lose that. For as long as I have wanted a college playoff, now that it is near, I can appreciate the bowl system that much more. Though there are too many bowls, debating in the off-season is that much more fun with bowl games. Right now, 32 schools go home as winners, in a playoff format only one does.

There was a tie for first in the North. We don't have a playoff in the North. Butte played Shasta College, beating them 72-3. Shasta was a D-3 team. The "formula" used up here to determine who goes to the State Campionship did not work in our favor because of the weakness of that opponent.

But, Butee beat them 72-3? What were the polsters looking for 99-0? Don't laugh, I've seen 99-0. It's like a car accident, you want to go home, but you just get sucked in. On a side note: Brad if your listening, I'm trying to sign up for this website. How do I do it?

Click on any of the stories on the front page and it should tell you can't read them without signing up. It should point you in that direction. Make sure your credit card is up to date and that you sign up for a JCGridiron.com subscription.

Will do. My credit card has to be up to date? Damn, everything in my wallet is 1972 and older

No, but Brad is a pro and I wanted to support his great website with all the insightful news stories. Kevin is too big a woose for me and so are you NorCoast. Love to see you come over to where the what you write stays posted. You guys couldn't handle the truth, your Rams were pitiful and didn't deserve to be in state losing 20-30 against Butte and RCC was a bunch of hot air. When it came to game time against Mt SAC Craft's offense once again went flat. 25-0 zero, that's a joke from a guy who is a self-proclaimed guru of the sport.
