We've still got a couple of months before kick-off, but here are some of the more intriguing match-ups that will shape the rankings. A few of these games feature programs that are both in the Top 30 (or programs under consideration).

Which is the most intriguing match-up to you and do you plan on attending any of these Week 1 match-ups? Did I leave out any big games in Socal?

Sept. 4th
MOST INTRIGUING: Bakersfield at LA Pierce 7 pm
HARDEST HITTINGLA Harbor at Cerritos 7 pm
FEATURES HIGHEST RATED CALY PROGRAM: LA Southwest at El Camino 6 pm
Mt. SAC at Victor Valley 1 pm
Fullerton at Santa Ana 1 pm
Saddleback at Orange Coast 6 pm
Southwestern at Palomar 6 pm
San Diego Mesa at Grossmont 1 pm
Canyons at Antelope Valley 6 pm

* My pick for the first teams that jump into the Dirty Thirty are LA Pierce and Citrus...

Dirty Thirty Nocal Match-ups: Week One

There are a half dozen Northern California games that should be followed as well. The Northern California schools play a week later, and my darkhorse pick in NoCal is the College of the Siskyous and College. The CCSF/Sequoias game could be closer than many expect.

Sept 10th
SAN FRANCISCO vs Sequoias (1 pm)
SAN MATEO Fresno (2 pm)
BUTTE Sierra (1pm)
REEDLEY @ Foothill
SANTA ROSA @ Siskiyous

Who are your darkhorse programs in Nocal this year? Do you plan on attending any of these match-ups??

That should be a good one.

Pierce @ BC....What a great place to play week one ball game. This will be a D1 showcase of talent in one of the greatest venues in all of JC football. Game breakers on both teams. All of Bakersfield might be there.

That will be a good one. Pierce can break into the elite with a big win.
