Why are so many guys committing so early?

We already have 46 guys in the database that have committed.

I'm trying to piece together some stats that may show a trend as to why so many players have already given a verbal for the class of 2021. Is it COVID-19? Is it no football until the spring? Or, something else?

I don’t know about other guys, but for me really it’s strictly business. The first reason I made sure to seize that opportunity is because no matter the accolades you have in your career, as a punter you’re not going to get 15 or 20 plus offers like the other position guys, so for me it was about finding a college that will suit me best for my future .UAB I feel is the best decision for me all around because I’ll be able to train Year around with one of my kicking coaches that it is in Birmingham Alabama and also some of the coaches really showed me love and showed me that they’ll have my back
